Chocolate Spiral Buns
Ingredients
- Fauji Corn Flour 3 cup
- Salt ½ tsp
- Sugar 2 tsp + 2 tbsp
- Instant yeast 1 tbsp (leveled)
- Warm milk ½ cup
- Butter melted 2 ounces + 2tbsp
- Chocolate spread as required
- Cinnamon powder 1 tsp
Method of Preparation
- Sift together Fauji Corn flour, sugar and salt in a bowl.
- Add the instant yeast and mix.
- Add warm milk and 2 ounces of melted butter.
- Knead until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover and leave for 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough, roll into a rectangle and brush with butter.
- Evenly spread the chocolate spread and sprinkle 2 tbsp sugar and cinnamon powder on it.
- Roll like a Swiss roll, cut into 2 cm thick slices and place on a greased baking dish and leave for half hour.
- Bake at 200° C for 10 minutes.
- Reduce the temperature of the oven to 180° C and bake for 10 more minutes.
- Remove, cool and serve.
